LEE COUNTY, Ala. (WRBL) – A mother, grandfather, and grandmother from Alabama are charged with what Lee County investigators call a terrible case of child abuse, which is a real horror house.
Monday, January 13, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office received information about a possible child abuse situation at a location in the town of Smiths Station in southeast Lee County.
Investigators and sheriff personnel from the Lee County Department of Human Resources conducted a charity check at a residence on the 5,000-block block of Lee Road. 246 and contacted 4 children aged 3, 4, 10 and 11.
“During the contact, the investigators observed two wooden cages with reels and locks. The investigation showed that the children were locked up in the cages several times. Investigators found that a fifth child, aged 8 months, also lived in the residence but was not present at the time of contact, ”said Sheriff Jay Jones.
All five children have been removed from the residence and are in the care of Lee County D.H.R.
Sheriff Jones says several arrest warrants were received from Lee County Investigators on Wednesday, January.
Smith Station 66-year-old Pamela Deloris Bond was arrested and charged with 2 charges of serious child abuse in children under the age of 6, 2 charges of reckless danger and one charge for manipulation with physical evidence. It is in a USD 123,000 bond.
The 69-year-old James H. Bond from Smith Station was arrested and charged with 2-fold abuse of a child under 6 and 2-fold reckless danger. It is in a $ 122,000 bond.
Smith Station 30-year-old Kylla Michelle Mann was arrested and charged with 2 cases of severe child abuse on a child under 6 and 2 inconsiderate threats. It is in a $ 122,000 bond.
