January 16 (UPI) – Demi Lovato will play the national anthem at the Super Bowl LIV in February.
The National Football League (NFL) announced in a tweet on Thursday that 27-year-old Lovato will take the stage on February 2 at the Super Bowl LIV in Miami, Florida.
“We are excited to announce that @ddlovato will help us crown our 100th season by singing the national anthem on #SuperBowl LIV on @FOXTV 2/2!” the contribution is.
Lovato confirmed the message in a post on Instagram.
“Singing the National Anthem on #SBLIV,” she wrote. “See you in Miami @NFL.”
Super Bowl LIV will take place at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens and will air on Fox. Jennifer Lopez and Shakira will perform during the halftime show.
The Super Bowl follows Lovato’s comeback appearance on January 26th at the Grammy Awards. The Grammys are Lovato’s first public appearance since her overdose and hospitalization in 2018.
As an actress, Lovato currently has a guest role in the NBC series Will & Grace, She plays Jenny, a surrogate mother, and a surrogate camera girl who agrees to be a replacement for Will (Eric McCormack).
