FADER FORT has announced a nine-hour broadcast featuring over 40 performers to raise funds for charities affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
FADER FORT’s parent company, The FADER, announced the initiative on March 26th. The online event will be broadcast from thefader.com/fort and will run March 31 from 10am to 7pm ET.
According to FADER artists, Digital FADER FORT “will premiere new music and revise notes from its catalogs, while some will go completely different ways.”
So far, musicians have announced “Kesha” (the debut on the cover of “Fighting for your rights” Beastie Boys), “Guapdad 4000” (culinary segment) and “Ashnikko” (who “will sing under their hit single” Tantrum “. Wax.” ).
The full line-up will only be announced on March 30. The full list of charities that will be promoted during Digital FADER FORT will also be revealed shortly.
FADER FORT is the only Southwestern FADER invitation-only event known for attracting surprise guests from the list. The 2020 event will mark the 18th annual FADAR FORT, but SXSW was abruptly canceled earlier this month amid worsening coronavirus outbreaks in the US.
Digital FADER FORT is joining the growing list of live direct events brought together by companies and artists, in light of the social remoteness caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
TIDAL has announced free concert speeches for subscribers and non-subscribers, and the Montreux Jazz Festival has dug into its archives to share performances by Nina Simone, James Brown, Johnny Cash and more.
