Justin Bieber is back.

The 25-year-old singer dropped a surprise on Christmas Eve. He told fans via social media that his new single, “Yummy”, will be available on January 3 and also set dates for the 2020 stage tour.

Bieber posted a video on his YouTube channel titled “# BIEBER2020”. The video depicts the singer walking around a desert area, reflecting his past mistakes. Sunset-sets and slow-motion effects give the video a very serious atmosphere. There is also an excerpt of what seems to be the new single playing in the background.

“As humans we are imperfect,” Bieber said in the video. “My past and my mistakes – all the things I’ve gone through – I think I’m just where I need to be and God has me exactly where He wants me.”

In the short video, a list of 45 tour dates is displayed on the screen. The pop star will begin his Seattle tour at CenturyLink Field on May 14 and finish it in New Jersey at MetLife Stadium on September 26. Bieber then announced that there would be a series of docu and a new album soon, but did not give an exact date.

“It’s the music I’ve loved the most from anything I’ve done,” Bieber said at the end of the video.

Where was Bieber?

Bieber released his fourth album, “Purpose”, in November 2015. Since then he has collaborated with various artists and released many singles. Puerto Rican singers Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee featured Bieber on “Despacito” in 2017. The song reached the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100. He had also appeared in two DJ Khaled singles – “I’m the One” in 2017 and “No Brainer” in 2018.

This summer, Bieber and Ed Sheeran released the single “I Don’t Care” from Sheeran’s album No. 6 Collaborations Project. He also worked with slave Dan + Shay to create “10,000 Hours”. Both songs reached the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100.

So while Bieber hasn’t really taken a break from music, his followers are definitely ready to hear his new stuff. Most of them are so excited, they can’t help but type in all the ceilings.

One fan tweeted: “THEY ARE THE TOWER FOR JUSTIN BIEBER IS MY LIFE LOVE. # Bieber2020 #BieberIsBackTODAY”
