Murder in Croydon: Man Found Dead at Whitehorse Road Home Investigates Murder

A murder investigation was opened in Croydon after a man was found dead at his home.

At around 8.50 a.m. on Monday 13 January, the London ambulance service called police to report a man found deceased in a residential address on Whitehorse Road.

He has now been named Krasimir Kartikov, 60, from Bulgaria.

A special post-mortem examination performed on Wednesday January 15 revealed that the cause of death was multiple injuries.

His close relatives have been informed. The police appeal for any information.

Detective Inspector Helen Rance, who leads the investigation, said, “Our investigation is progressing rapidly, but we want to speak to anyone who has seen or spoken to Krasimir after 4:00 p.m. on the afternoon of Saturday, January 11.

“We would also ask anyone who may have been in the Whitehorse Road area to think about whether they heard any disturbances or saw anything unusual this Saturday evening and until the following evening.

“Krasimir’s family is devastated by the death of his loved one and we are committed to finding out exactly what happened that night and bringing those responsible to justice.”

Anyone with information should call the incident room number on 020 8721 4266 or remain anonymous by contacting the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
