Effortlessly capable, impressively stylish.
At 117 years of age and counted as the luxury brand of General Motors, Cadillac shows no signs of slowing down, and the features above describe their all-new seven-passenger people-mover, the all-wheel-drive XT6.
It is not a baby Escalade. The XT6 is a spacious, sporty SUV with a four-wheel drive with double clutch, ideal for families who travel a lot. It’s spacious – it offers an amazing 78.7 cubic foot storage and leading third-row headroom of an amazing 37.2 inches.
Sharp exterior and interior options were abundantly present on our Premium Luxury model, which is sufficiently priced for this segment.
The Cadillac XT6 shares a chassis with the GMC Acadia, Buick Enclave and Chevrolet Traverse and distinguishes itself from those family members. The attention to bodywork keeps the vehicle stable during turns and comfort is in no way lacking.
The 3.6-liter, 310-horsepower V-6, with 271 pound-feet of torque, has enough power to do the job. The 0-60 km / h time came in at just over seven seconds, activated via a standard automatic transmission with nine gears. (It has a rival in force here – the Lincoln Aviator delivers 400 hp.)
A luxurious infotainment system is packed with technology as standard in the XT6; the touchscreen options and a center console are easy to use. The eight-inch screen is neither too large nor visible, cleverly placed in the middle dashboard. Six USB ports are standard – there really is never enough in a vehicle. Now most passengers can charge their devices on the road.
We really enjoyed the night vision option for just $ 2,000 – this minimizes glare while driving at night and significantly improves the view of the road. A surround vision camera and automatic parking assistance were great functions.
Two model options are available with the XT6, the Premium Luxury and the Sport Model. The Premium Luxury model has standard exterior trim levels comparable to other XT series vehicles in the line-up. For additional exterior features, the Sport model has a V-series inspired grill, tinted rear lights, sports exhaust trims and 20-inch wheels, with 21-inch wheels available.
