Nintendo cleans up this Christmas with the switch

It looks like this festive season everyone and their little cousin got a Nintendo switch. On Black Friday weekend alone, 830,000 Switch and Switch Lite units were sold.

The Nintendo Switch is a compact game console that allows users to take their favorite video games with them wherever they go. It is the latest evolution of the classic Gameboy with an online gaming store and an additional memory bank available for purchase.

The switch gives users the power of a home game console, but with material that can be downloaded anywhere. It is compatible with all Nintendo classic games as well as other popular games such as Stardew Valley, Pokémon and Fortnite.

The switch was launched in March 2017, so it is interesting that it is now becoming more sought after. One possible answer is the addition of the Switch Lite option, which was introduced in September 2019. The Switch Lite is lighter but is also less expensive and large for small hands. Although Lite is cheaper, the processor is still on par with the larger Switch model.

Another answer is the ever-growing list of games available. Pokemon Sword and Shield, a super fun and nostalgic Pokémon game, launched in November. I have it and it’s awesome. A bunch of friendly games like Just Dance 2020 and Mario & Sonic at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics also fell in time for the holiday rides.

After some troubles with their electronic system last year, Nintendo has recovered and the switch has become a must-have game for kids and adults.
