Polish MP: ‘For me, multiculturalism is not a value’

Poland‘s ultraconservative Legislation and Justice Bash (PiS) received a next term in office environment previous month, a victory that critics dread will speed up the country’s slide to authoritarianism.

The PiS rose to electricity in 2015, following a marketing campaign that focussed on social conservatism, alongside with a generous social expending programme.

But the party’s refusal to consider in refugees, along with its attempts to reform the judiciary – critics say at the expense of independence – has set it at loggerheads with the European Union.

Just this 7 days, a top EU lawful adviser said Warsaw broke the bloc’s legislation by refusing to acquire in refugees during Europe’s 2015 migrant disaster.

But the PiS’s Dominik Tarczynski insists his nation did absolutely nothing mistaken and states Poland stands by its immigration policy.

“We really don’t want Poland being taken about by Muslims, Buddhists, or an individual else … and no a single will ever power us to just take Muslims, Buddhists, non-believers in large figures,” explained Tarczynski.

Tarczynski claimed following residing in the United Kingdom and the United States and suffering from existence in a multicultural modern society, he does not see any price in it.

“For me, multicultural culture, it can be not a benefit … it really is not a virtue,” the Polish MP mentioned. “Christian culture, Roman regulation, Greek philosophers, these are the virtues for us.”

This week’s Headliner is a member of parliament for Poland’s governing Law and Justice Bash, Dominik Tarczynski.
