TAMPA, Florida (WFLA / CNN) – Precipitation over parts of eastern Australia gives reason to hope that some of the country’s destructive fires will be extinguished or at least slowed down.
“A number of firefighters working across NSW are helping here. Although this rain does not put out all the fires, it will certainly make a big contribution to containment, ”tweeted Australia’s NSW Rural Fire Service.
